Interior Projection Mapping & Generative Audio Visuals for BACH+FORTH

On March 31, 2025 - celebrating Johann Sebastian Bach’s birthday - Honored Artist of Armenia, pianist Hayk Melikyan, presented the Armenian premiere and album launch concert of "BACH+FORTH" at the Komitas Chamber Music Hall in Yerevan. Released by Azure Sky Records, the critically acclaimed album gained global recognition, topping Tidal's Piano Studio playlists and ranking among Spotify's top Bach recordings.

To match the spiritual and acoustic depth of the program, which juxtaposed Baroque keyboard transcriptions (Bach, Handel, Scarlatti) with modern 20th-century compositions (Cage, Stockhausen, Pärt), C-Squared was commissioned to design and execute custom interior wall projection mapping paired with audio-reactive visuals.

Architectural Interior Mapping

The organic stone architecture and vaulted wall structures of the Komitas Chamber Music Hall provided an intimate canvas for 3D projection mapping.

• Structural Integration: Light mapped directly onto the venue's hall walls, tracing architectural arches and textures to create a fluid, contemplative backdrop that respected the acoustics of the chamber environment.

• Classical & Contemporary Nuance: Visual themes shifted continuously throughout the performance, reflecting the transition from classical Baroque rigor to abstract modern compositions.

Audio-Reactive Visualizations with doodooc

In partnership with doodooc, C-Squared integrated real-time generative audio visualizations that responded directly to Hayk Melikyan's live piano performance.

• Sound-Driven Generative Art: doodooc’s audio visualization algorithms processed piano frequencies and dynamics in real time, translating every chord, chorale prelude, and acoustic shift into fluid motion graphics.

• Uninterrupted Visual Storytelling: The real-time visual system reacted seamlessly to both delicate, meditative passages and intense, complex movements without requiring intrusive stage lighting changes.
