The Opening Ceremony of the European Shooting Championship 2026 set a high standard for live sports entertainment in Yerevan. Hosted at the iconic Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concerts Complex, the event called for a visual narrative that blended athletic precision with rich Armenian cultural motifs.
In collaboration with the Background Production team, who spearheaded client relations and concept development, C-Squared delivered advanced visual technology solutions that brought the ceremony's centerpiece performances to life.
One of the highlights of the evening was a choreographed dance performance featuring a sweeping, extended fabric garment worn by the lead dancer. Rather than mapping standard static surfaces, C-Squared engineered custom fabric projection mapping that synchronized with the performer's continuous movement.
Ornamental Visuals: Vivid, high-contrast cultural patterns were mapped directly onto the moving cloth, turning the garment into a flowing, canvas-like visual installation.
Real-Time Calibration: Precision alignment ensured that the vibrant graphics adapted seamlessly to every turn and gesture of the performance across the stage.
To complement the narrative canvas created by the projection mapping, C-Squared deployed an atmospheric laser visual show. Sharply defined light paths and graphic elements cut through the venue's space, building intensity during transition sequences and heightening the audience's overall experience.
By combining dynamic motion projection mapping with laser technology, C-Squared helped elevate the 2026 European Shooting Championship Opening Ceremony into an unforgettable spectacle. The project highlights our ongoing commitment to boundary-pushing visual arts and execution for major international events in Armenia.
