Projection Mapping on Decorative Construction

At ArevOd Festival, which revolved around three stages and endless vibes, music was only part of the story. Across the grounds, with live performances, electronic sets, art installations, food zones, and chill spots, the small visual details quietly shaped the experience.

We added a projection mapping installation on decorative constructions scattered throughout the festival. Though modest in scale, these projections brought depth, movement, and immersive energy to the surroundings.

ArevOd had three main stages:

• Art Stage – experimental and conceptual performances
• Main Stage – live bands and high-energy acts
• Hangar Stage – electronic music pumping until sunrise

Beyond the stages, there were art installations, lounge areas, interactive spots, and entertainment zones.

Our projections were applied to decorative structures designed as visual anchors across the festival. After sunset, these constructions transformed into animated surfaces that seemed to move with the rhythm of the festival.

Instead of staying static, they became living, breathing parts of the environment.

Not every projection mapping project needs huge architecture. In this case, the focus was on precision and atmosphere rather than size.

The decorative structures were carefully mapped to ensure:

• Clean alignment of visuals
• Seamless integration with existing lighting
• Consistent brightness even outdoors
• Smooth blending with nearby stage visuals

As daylight faded, the projections added subtle movement and layered texture, giving the festival night-time a slightly magical, immersive touch.

ArevOd was more than music. The festival included:

• Kids Zone – games and puppet shows
• Dance Zone – workshops and competitions
• Sport Zone – activities
• Art installations and lounge areas
• 30+ food stalls and bars

Within this diverse environment, the projections acted as a visual bridge, connecting live performance energy with artistic installations. The animated graphics complemented the stem.

Working in an outdoor festival comes with specific challenges:

• Changing light conditions
• Open-air surfaces
• Crowds in motion
• Weather and environmental factors

To overcome this, the mapping setup was optimized for evening visibility and aligned with the overall lighting of the festival. Once the sun went down, the projections enhanced the atmosphere, smoothly shifting the vibe from daytime energy to late-night electronic moods.

Between stage transitions and headline acts, visitors wandered the festival - checking out installations, relaxing in chill zones, or discovering hidden corners.

The projection mapping installations acted as subtle visual anchors during these movements:
